This is the first illustration for a mini-comic that Im producing entitled 'The Gruesome End of Baron Spolasco,' for the 6th annual Dragon of Shandon Samhain Parade. It is being published by Cork Community Art Link and based on the 19th Century quack doctor Baron Spolasco who occupied the streets of Cork City in the early 1800s. More exciting news in relation to this project will be released in due course!

Id also like to take this opportunity to thank all the young illustrators that turned up for my Culture Night illustration workshop in the Cork Vision Centre. I especially enjoyed the groups rendering of a vampire Batman eating ice-cream in the park!

Here is the illustration of Saint Finn Barre's Cathedral in colour as it would have looked like in 1793 complete with black cat startling the plucky bishop. I have tried to give the colours are very light feel by adding soft hue's to suggest early morning. Just a reminder too that I will be giving a free illustration workshop next Friday the 23rd of September in the Cork Vision Centre as part of Culture Night 2011. See you then!
