The Ghost of Shandon Greetings cards are now on sale from the gift shop of the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery at the bargain price of 2 Euro each! Quick, discover me before someone else does!!

Also, Id like to thank Cork Historian, Kieran McCarthy for bringing me on a wonderful tour of Cork City today. Im sure his knowledge and insight will greatly improve my understanding of 18th Century Cork and hopefully this will transmit itself into the finished Ghost of Shandon book.

The Greetings Cards depicting scenes from the Ghost of Shandon book arrived at my studio this morning! The print quality is very good. These greetings cards will be on sale from the gift shop of the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery in Cork City from July, so please keep your eye out for them!

Here is the illustration of Emmet Place in colour, I had fun experimenting with my oil paints and conveying a high textural quality to the illustration. I also tried to create a focal point around the characters of Ronan and Aisling by framing them and highlighting the red paint of Ronan's jacket and Aisling's hair.

Although this agreement has been in place for a few months now, Id just like to make it public knowledge that the Ghost of Shandon book that I am producing will be published by the Cork based independent publishing company, Onstream Publishing.

I would like to thank the lovely Roz Crowley for showing faith in my ability both as an illustrator and writer!

Here is the pencil work for an illustration of Emmet Place in Cork City for the Ghost of Shandon book. As you can see the Custom House and the current Crawford Art Gallery are clearly visible in the drawing. Emmet Place was known as Kings Dock in the 18th Century and it could fit up to six ships at a time! Also note, the Cork artist Daniel Maclise rented a studio in the top floor of the building directly opposite

Fingers crossed this will be available as a greetings card in the near future!
